We are pleased to announce that Isobar has been honored with five prestigious W3 Awards!  The W3 Awards honors outstanding Websites, Web Marketing, Web Video, & Mobile Apps created by some of the best interactive agencies, designers, and creators worldwide.  Our award-winning work included:

Gold Award, Photo & Video category, Nikon Learn & Explore iPhone app
Isobar teamed up with Nikon to create Nikon Learn & Explore, an innovative iPhone app that provides people with quick, easy access to educational and inspirational photography information right from their mobile devices.  Complementing an interactive educational site on Nikon’s USA web site, the Learn & Explore app is a valuable tool for photographers of all skill levels, enabling consumers to learn the fundamentals of photography, get advice on how to take better pictures, scroll through galleries of images and view videos that educate and inspire, and access informative articles from the nikonusa.com website and “Nikon World” magazine—all from the palm of their hand, no matter where they are.  The app is available at http://nikonusa.com/mobile/iPhone/LearnAndExplore.

Silver Award, Games & Gaming category, Madden YouTube Masthead “Push” Takeover
The Madden franchise has been a powerhouse for EA SPORTS since its inception. A consistently high-quality game, Madden aimed to surge from a really good game to an unequivocally great game in both game-play and perception. But how do you break through and generate excitement when you’ve been around for 21 years? The day the game launched, we executed a never-been-done-before custom homepage execution that was the perfect storm of all things Madden: Premium placement, reach, brought creative idea to life and leveraged property strength/ layout. This delivered close to 40MM impressions and drove a .63% CTR, an astounding 12.35% interaction rate and earned Madden great press and consumer feedback. 9.2MM people (23% of those who saw it) watched the entire animation.

Silver Award, Games & Gaming category, Sims 3 Sidekick
Our objective was to make the iconic The Sims 3 brand live within pop culture, and create a trial experience that promoted its new features: unique personalities for your Sims and the ability to explore a new town. To promote this idea of exploration, we created the Sims 3 Sidekick. This widget invites users to choose from 6 distinct characters to follow them as they surf the web. Each Sim reacts differently to the sites you visit based on their personality traits. The Sidekick links to brand properties, like The Sims 3 Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter pages, but also offers custom animations and in-game items by intelligently scrubbing keywords within any page. Users can connect with friends through Facebook and MySpace and it was translated into 24 languages with localized links and keywords, to support the global launch.  Check it out at http://www.simsidekick.com/

Silver Award, Consumer Goods category, Absolut Street Bottle Campaign
It’s not everyday you pass a giant interactive vodka bottle as you may your way to work, but passersby in Montreal, Vancouver and Toronto experiences exactly that in this installment of “In an Absolut World” campaign.  The large, street level installations featured motion-sensor pads for people to step on, which then activated live video streaming to Absolut.ca.  Visitors to the website can see the videos in real time, manipulate them with different templates or send the street level-user a scripted message.  The person on the street can then retrieve their video from the site to text Absolut to request it using short code.  More information on this campaign can be found at http://canawd.appspot.com/.

Silver Award, How To/Instructional category, Nero Product Videos
Isobar created a 3 minute video for the Nero Multimedia Suite 10, which is comprised of 3 products in one (Nero BackItUp & Burn, Nero Burning ROM, and Nero VisionXtra).  The initial video “Nero Multimedia Suite 10” was then dissected into three products videos.  The Nero Product Video can be viewed at http://www.nero.com/enu/video.html?v=n10-demo.
